Therapeutic Activation Program for Seniors (TAPS)

Helping the most vulnerable immigrant seniors in our community

Stay independent and active with our wellness program for seniors! TAPS supports all older adults, including those experiencing barriers in accessing community resources with:

  • Group exercise classes that include yoga, chair yoga, tai chi and more
  • Group activities such as music, dancing, signing, art and more
  • Field trips
  • Wellness calls
  • Home visits
  • Healthy meals and snacks during programming time

Sessions are held Mondays (multilingual), Tuesdays (services delivered in Punjabi) and Fridays (multilingual). Programs are offered at DIVERSEcity (13455 76 Avenue, Surrey, BC) and at the Bear Creek Park Pavilion (13750 88 Avenue, Surrey, BC).

Who’s eligible?

Adults aged 55+ who live in Surrey and are experiencing barriers due to physical or mental health and/or are isolated or lonely due to limited community or family supports.
